Ready for a makeover??
When you do a makeover, most people will usually choose to change a lot of things at once. True, you could also do just a few things – so the choice is up to you. If you are planning either a huge makeover or just a smaller one, then there are a few things you should know if you are looking to change the color of your eyes with colored contacts.
The great thing is, there are many colors to choose from. This part is probably the most fun. If you have light or dark colored eyes, you can change the color of them pretty easily. People with light colored eyes will probably go with the enhancement type of contact lens. These let some of the natural color of your eyes show though. People that have either light or dark colored eyes can go with opaque contact lenses because these will totally block the natural color of your eyes and make them become a brand new color.
Some popular colors are gray, hazel and blue. For people with dark skin who want to wear contacts, they usually find that green or hazel colored contacts look really good on them. It’s a different look that gets attention for sure.
Can You Get These Colored Contact Lenses Without Prescription?
That’s a good question and definitely an important one, so thanks for asking. Even though you may not need vision correction, you may think that you can get colored contacts without prescription but that’s not always the case.
If you happen to live in the US, UK or in Canada, then there are laws that basically say that you can only get colored contact lenses if you have a prescription from an eye doctor. The company selling them should first ask you for that prescription since what it does is give the correct measurements like the base curve. This ensures that they fit your eyes properly.
Along with that, you should know that you should never share your colored contact lenses with anyone. If you have friends that want to change their eyes in their makeovers, too, then they each need to go and get their own prescription. This is so that they fit their eyes well and so that you do not spread bacteria, which can cause painful eye infections.
Have fun doing your makeover and remember that if you do want to make changing the color of your eyes part of it, you should plan ahead.
