Of all the countries in Asia or the South Pacific there is perhaps no place as exotic, mysterious, or beautiful as Japan. Long ago dubbed the “Land of the Rising Sun” the word Japan literally means “sun-origin” probably because the islanders can see the sun both rise and set from their island. Japan is a very crowded island today, with a highly advanced and modern culture. Greater Tokyo, with over 30 million people, is the world’s largest metropolitan area and among the most densely populated places on earth. As far as site seeing goes, the island offers no shortage of attractions and as most travel agents will tell you, the best Asia travel tip is to simply visit Japan. With its origin as a volcanic island chain, Japan offers a natural beauty that matches its modern and electrified culture and there are countless jungles and mountains to explore as well as pristine beaches and reefs. Japan is truly an amazing place and must stop for anyone who wants to truly enjoy all the world has to offer.
